I didn’t notice a moment when the on screen chemistry between the leading actors in the movie “Jane Eyre, ever realized a moment that could be detected as something interesting.
The role played by the actor (Micheal Fassbender) of the tormented character Mr. Rochester who falls in love with Jane Eyre, played by Mia Wasikowska, is undeveloped and shallow. I think they fell in love when he fell off the horse in the wood when Jane was delivering a letter to somewhere. She had to walk but it was good for her. The house keeper said so. (she’s sort of like a mother figure to the fresh and innocent Jane who goes to the failing rich mans house to be the governess of the child who he apparently fathered sometime before. She only speaks French.) And Jane also happens to talk French because she was well educated. And beat with a stick on several occasions. Like her friend that died from sickness.
Somewhere in the past in the movie.
Mia Wasikowska gives a stellar performance and is brilliant. I suppose that any actors playing opposite to her in a movie would be artistically challenged to anywhere near her equal in genius. She is like genius meets beauty of the rarest sort and something like an angel appeared on screen. If you noticed her in “In Treatment” you might think that , well, she is simply the greatest actress of all time.
The 2011 movie Jane Eyre is a performance by Mia Wasikowska that has a movie attached to it.
I was wandering who won the academy award in 2011…..
That was Natalie Portman in Black Swan. I did see it. I did not see Jane Eyre in 2011. Mia Wasikowska was not nominated for her performance in Jane Eyre.
